Emergency crews in Rensselaer County were called shortly after 8 p.m. Monday, May 29, with reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the village of Hoosick Falls, on State Route 22.

An investigation by New York State Police determined that 44-year-old Michael Cameron, of Eagle Bridge, was driving his motorcycle northbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone.

As he did so, he struck a southbound vehicle that was making a left turn.

The impact left Cameron dead at the scene, troopers said. The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
